Enterprise AI platform provider Workday has appointed John Lombard as President for Asia-Pacific, as the company looks to accelerate growth and expand its AI-driven enterprise software business across the region.
Lombard, who served as the Asia-Pacific CEO at NTT Data for nearly a decade, will lead Workday's regional go-to-market strategy, commercial operations, and expansion across key APAC markets.
Based in Australia and Singapore, he will also focus on strengthening the company's partner ecosystem while helping customers adopt Workday's AI platform to improve operational efficiency and business growth.
The appointment comes as enterprises across Asia Pacific increasingly invest in AI to modernise HR, finance, and IT operations.
"Asia Pacific is an epicentre of global innovation, presenting an incredible opportunity for businesses to leverage intelligent technology for a competitive edge—and Workday is uniquely positioned to help them do that," Lombard said.
Lombard brings more than three decades of technology and consulting experience. Before NTT Data, he held senior leadership positions at SAP, KPMG Australia, and Crowe Howarth, where he advised enterprises on technology transformation, regulatory compliance, and data-driven growth strategies.
Workday said his appointment aligns with growing enterprise demand for AI-powered business applications across the region.
"John's appointment comes at a critical juncture as APAC organisations increasingly look to AI to elevate employee experiences and optimise financial performance," said Rob Enslin, President and Chief Commercial Officer, Workday, in a statement.
Workday provides AI-powered enterprise software for human resources, finance and IT management, and has been expanding its presence across the Asia-Pacific as organisations accelerate digital transformation initiatives.
