Vodafone Idea (Vi) has appointed Subitha Pallithara as Vice President of Human Resources, the company announced in a LinkedIn post.
“We are pleased to welcome Subitha Pallithara as Vice President for Human Resources,” Vodafone Idea said, confirming the leadership addition aimed at strengthening its HR function.
Pallithara brings over a decade of experience across FMCG, BFSI, and manufacturing sectors, with expertise in building high-impact and scalable people strategies. In her new role, she is expected to drive key HR initiatives and support the company’s workforce transformation efforts.
Prior to joining Vodafone Idea, Pallithara served as Group Head – Rewards & Performance at Arvind Limited. She has also held roles at DBS Bank and L’Oréal.
Her appointment comes as Vodafone Idea continues to strengthen its leadership team amid ongoing business and operational shifts.
Meanwhile, Vi has partnered with IBM to strengthen its AI and automation capabilities, with a focus on modernising operations, accelerating digital services, and improving customer experience.
Central to this collaboration is a newly launched AI Innovation Hub, where teams from both companies will jointly develop AI-led tools, automation solutions, and digital products. The hub will also work closely with Vi’s unified DevOps team to speed up software development and improve operational efficiency.
According to Jagbir Singh, CTO at Vodafone Idea, the AI Innovation Hub is expected to play a key role in transforming operations and enabling faster execution of business initiatives through shorter development cycles, setting new benchmarks for the telecom sector.
IBM, on its part, sees the partnership as an opportunity to act as a strategic enabler in modernising Vi’s IT ecosystem, improving efficiency, and accelerating its digital transformation journey.
With a collaboration spanning over 17 years, the latest initiative is also being positioned as a step toward redefining how AI and automation can scale telecom operations.
