Practo has appointed Srijesh Kumar as its Global Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO), as the digital healthcare platform sharpens its focus on scaling globally and deepening the use of AI across its services.

In his new role, Kumar will lead end-to-end product and technology functions, with a focus on strengthening the platform, improving patient and provider experiences, and building more intelligent systems across the healthcare journey.

His appointment comes at a time when Practo is expanding the role of AI in how care is accessed, delivered, and managed.

“We’re at an inflexion point in how technology is shaping healthcare globally, with AI redefining how systems are built, scaled, and experienced,” Shashank ND, Founder and CEO, Practo, said in a statement.

According to him, Kumar brings deep expertise in building platforms at a global scale with a strong product mindset, and his experience will be invaluable as we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI in healthcare.

As CPTO, Kumar will work closely with engineering, product, and data teams to align efforts, improve platform design, and enable better outcomes using healthcare data. The goal is to make the platform more consistent and effective across every stage.

“What drew me to Practo is the opportunity to work on problems that have a real, human impact at scale. Healthcare is one of the most meaningful areas where technology can make a life-changing difference, not just in improving access but in reducing suffering and enabling better health outcomes,” Srijesh Kumar mentioned. “At the same time, the opportunity to build from India for the world is deeply compelling for me.”

Srijesh brings over two decades of experience in product engineering and platform development. He previously served as Vice President at Salesforce, where he led product engineering in the Industries Cloud segment. Before that, he worked at Expedia Group, building and scaling global travel platforms, and has also held roles at Punchh, Adobe, and Microsoft.

His appointment follows the recent onboarding of Cijo George as Vice President of AI, reflecting Practo’s continued investment in strengthening its technology leadership as it enters its next phase of growth.
