Bureau Veritas has appointed Jaya Chanda as its new Talent Management Director for the Asia-Pacific region, as the company focuses on leadership development, succession planning, and workforce capability building across key international markets.

In her new role, Chanda will lead talent management initiatives across the Asia-Pacific, overseeing leadership growth, employee development and organisational capability strategies as companies across the region continue to invest in future-ready talent and workforce resilience.

Chanda brings more than two decades of experience spanning HR, learning and development, and organisational transformation across multinational companies and regional markets.

Prior to joining Bureau Veritas, she spent over six years with Nestlé in Kuala Lumpur, where she held senior regional learning and leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Regional Learning Programme Manager for Asia, Oceania, Africa and the Middle East, driving leadership and workforce development programmes across multiple geographies.

Before her regional assignments, Chanda spent nearly 16 years with Nestlé India, where she handled several HR and corporate learning responsibilities, including serving as HR Manager for Corporate Learning and Training for the South Asia region.

Earlier in her career, she also worked with Jindal Group and Taj Hotels, gaining experience across operations, stakeholder management and people development.

Academically, Chanda completed an Executive General Management Programme from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and earned a diploma in Training and Development from the Indian Society of Training and Development.

Her appointment comes at a time when organisations across the Asia-Pacific are increasingly prioritising leadership resilience, employee capability enhancement, and agile workforce strategies amid evolving business and workplace demands.
