Capgemini has named Vinisha S as its new HR Head – Talent Management and Strategic Initiatives, taking responsibility for enterprise-wide talent programmes and key people initiatives. The appointment was announced on January 28, 2026, and confirmed by Vinisha through her LinkedIn post, marking her entry into the company’s senior HR leadership.

In this role, Vinisha will oversee the identification, development, and alignment of talent with Capgemini’s organisational priorities. Her responsibilities include leadership development, succession planning, and employee capability frameworks, alongside managing strategic HR initiatives such as organisational development programmes, internal leadership structures, and company-wide people policies.

Unlike business-unit HR roles, her position focuses on enterprise-level frameworks to ensure consistency across geographies and service lines.

What the Role Covers at an Enterprise Level

The HR Head – Talent Management and Strategic Initiatives role is focused on enterprise-wide talent and people programmes. Unlike regional or business-unit HR roles, this position is designed to oversee talent frameworks that apply across the organisation.

Responsibilities linked to talent management generally include leadership development structures, succession planning, employee development frameworks, and processes related to workforce capability. These programmes are typically designed and governed centrally to maintain uniform standards across teams and geographies.

The role also includes responsibility for strategic HR initiatives. Such initiatives usually involve organisational development programmes, internal leadership frameworks, and the rollout of people policies that cut across service lines and functions.

Senior roles of this nature typically operate within the central HR leadership framework and coordinate with regional and functional HR teams to ensure implementation at scale.

The role does not focus on day-to-day HR operations. Instead, it is positioned around governance, programme design, and oversight of talent-related processes across the organisation.

Vinisha S’s Career and HR Leadership Experience

Vinisha S brings over two decades of experience in human resources to Capgemini. Before joining the company, she spent more than 11 years at Hexaware Technologies, where she held multiple HR leadership roles.

Her most recent position at Hexaware was Assistant Vice President and Cluster HR Head. In that role, she was responsible for HR leadership across defined business clusters, overseeing people operations and workforce requirements within an IT services environment.

At Hexaware, her responsibilities included managing HR processes for large employee groups, supporting delivery organisations, and working with business leaders on people-related matters. Her role involved handling HR leadership in a services-led operating model.

Earlier in her career, Vinisha worked with the Ashok Piramal Group and Mahindra & Mahindra – Bristlecone India. These roles provided experience across diversified organisational structures, including industrial businesses and technology-focused services firms.

Across these organisations, her work remained centred on core HR functions, people management, and leadership support, giving her exposure to different workforce models and operating scales.

Vinisha holds a postgraduate degree in Business Management with a specialisation in Human Resources from Mumbai University.

Capgemini’s Workforce Structure and HR Focus

Capgemini is a global technology and consulting company headquartered in France. It provides services across consulting, technology, engineering, and digital transformation, serving clients in sectors such as financial services, manufacturing, consumer goods, retail, and the public sector.

The company employs a large workforce across multiple countries, including a significant employee base in India. Its operating model includes consulting teams, engineering specialists, delivery centres, and support functions spread across regions.

Managing talent across such a structure requires defined HR leadership roles focused on enterprise-level frameworks rather than local execution alone. Talent management roles typically ensure consistency in leadership pipelines, career structures, and employee development processes across the organisation.

Large technology and IT services companies regularly make senior HR appointments to manage internal people systems as workforce size and complexity increase. These roles are part of standard leadership structures within global services firms.
